The Approach
Good operational work is concrete. It happens inside the business, not at a distance.
How we think
-
Hands-on.
We work inside the business, not from the outside in. The work gets done alongside the team — not handed to them in a report.
-
Considered.
The first thing we do is slow down and look. Acting before understanding tends to make operational pressure worse, not better.
-
Finite.
Every engagement has a defined end. Scope and duration are agreed up front, and the work closes when it’s done.
-
Independence as the outcome.
Our job is to make ourselves unnecessary. We leave the business with systems, documents and clarity — not a reliance on us.
How we work
Every engagement begins with a conversation.
A short, no-cost call to understand what's happening in the business and whether we're a fit to work together.
For most businesses, the starting point is a diagnostic — one or two days of structured immersion. We sit with the founder, the team, the systems, the numbers. We map what's working, what isn't, and what to do about it.
A Fractional Engagement is hands-on operational leadership inside the business, scoped to what the work requires. We work alongside the founder and the team — onsite, remote, or both.
Transition projects are shorter pieces of work for a specific operational challenge — scoped to the situation.
What we can help with
Practical levers we reach for inside an engagement.
We don't provide legal, tax, insolvency or financial advice. Where specialist expertise is needed, we work alongside accountants, lawyers, HR providers and other professionals — never in place of them.
- Recruitment Designing and running recruitment cycles — scoping the role, attracting the right people, structuring how the team fits together.
- Governance structuring Setting up the board, committee and reporting structures a growing business needs to operate with discipline.
- Financial clarity Working with the founder and their accountants to get visibility over the numbers — not advice, but understanding.
- Pre-insolvency support Stabilising operations and tightening structure before a business reaches the point a specialist needs to be involved.
What we don't do
We provide operational consulting and implementation support.
We don't provide:
- 01 legal advice
- 02 tax advice
- 03 financial advice
- 04 insolvency advice
Where specialist expertise is required, we work alongside accountants, lawyers, HR providers and other professionals — never in place of them.
